CM1000 & New Router

I am planing on getting the xr700 when it comes out to upgrade my R9000.   The Wifi in my R9000 is having problems so i thought to give Duma a try before making my big purchase again i went out and got the xr500.  Ever since plugging this unit in i have been having problems with my internet.

Current setup

Comcast

CM1000

XR500 - 2.3.2.32 (A7Legit)

The unit seems to keep losing connecting with my CM1000 modem.  When i first plugged this all in i notice my CM1000 had an orange light at the bottom. So i checked all cables and gave everything and reboot and it seem to work just fine.  Now i just get home today and my internet keeps cutting in and out and i notice that the orange light came back on.  I am using the same cables as my old router so i know those are good so i am not sure if this is a Duma problem or just bad hardware from netgear.  I have a ping going to both the modem and router everything seems fine but then i would just drop connect to my modem.  Never had or seen this light before with the R9000 but this router seems to be giving me problems. If i am missing anything or info please let me know.

Any ideas before i get the xr700

Re: CM1000 & New Router

Here are the Power Table for the CM1000.  Right now i have a Asus router in the spot of the xr500.  I also cleared all logs once i get it up and running. Called Netgear support and said it was the MAC address.  I had to copy my NIC card mac address to the xr500?  Is this correct?  Never had to do this with my R9000.

Re: CM1000 & New Router

So I still have my CM1000 but no longer have the xr700.

But i am having speed problems with Comcast.  Now when i setup this Moden i was getting the 1GB speeds no problem...Over months now it has slowed down.  I had a tech come out and change out the moden to a comcast moden for now.  Speeds seem fine. I called comcast to change my moden back to the CM1000 to see if it is my monden or not.  After speaking with Comcast they tell me that my Moden is not going to work right with Comcast and the only ones that work for the GB speeds are CM1150v or C7800.  So i dont need the Wireless with the C7800 and i can't find any place that sells the CM1150v.

Any ideas?
