CM400 firmware problem

The firmware on my CM400 was upgraded by Comcast from v1.01.17 to v1.01.18. Now the event log will not open using Firefox v54 or IE11. In Firfox it just shows the spinning wheel, in IE11 error "Can't reach this page".

No, and don't intend to. I use Firefox and just tried IE because I have it.

Re: CM400 firmware problem

I replaced my Arris modem (Time-Warner furnished) with a NetGear CM400. I called them to change the MAC address. At first, it worked fine (both hardwired to PC as well as to my NetGear WiFi router.

But after 2 hours, the modem lights droped down to "no internet" and flashing "uplink".....The support people at T/W did a bunch of stuff inside my PC (DNS, IPconfig, etc) to no avail.

1) How do Ifind the firmware version of this modem?

2) Why does T/W have such a hard time getting this MAC address change to work?

3) I reverted back to their Arris modem and it seems to be fine again, but I want to usse my purchased CM400

Hello DrHitch

You may want to call back and ask for there tier 3 internet support sounds like they did not code you account correctly for the new modem and the old one is still on the account.

Today Comcast upgraded the firmware on my CM400 from V1.01.18 to V1.01.19. The event log is now viewable.
