CM500 blinking red light
Hi,
I have a CM500 Modem that is about 3.5 months old. Last week my internet suddenly went down. The modem has a solid green power light, but the up and down arrows continously blink red. When I plug it in it immediately starts blinking, it doesn't even attempt to connect. If I plug an ethernet cable in I do not get any signal from the modem. The cable company came out and confirmed that the modem was the issue. However, netgear insists it's not a hardware issue for the warranty. Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot?

Re: CM500 blinking red light
Have the ISP check the signal and line quality UP to the modem.
Be sure there are no coax cable line splitters in the between the modem and ISP service box.
Be sure your using good quality RG6 coax cable up to the modem.
Be sure to power OFF the modem for 1 minute them back ON.

Re: CM500 blinking red light
Also, when I plugged in a different modem the internet immediately worked. So the issue is definitely this modem. Since it's only 3.5 months old I'd really like to not have to buy a new one if possible though
