CM500-unblocking ports
I have installed Norton and contacted them because I could not use the VPN. They ran a scan and suggested that I contact my Internet Provider and request that UDP Ports 500 & 4500 be unblocked. Is this possible?

Re: CM500-unblocking ports
I would if the CM modem had a built in router however the CM is only a modem only. Nothing to configure on this modem.
To Configure ports, you'll need to consult the mfr of your wifi router thats connecte to the CM modem for this.

Re: CM500-unblocking ports
Beyond, some el-cheepo ISP assign Carrier Grade NAT (CGN; RFC6598) or RFC1918 private IP addesses to your router ... this will prohibit using a VPN (or reach the address on an port).
