Da wifi a LAN
Salve,
Grazie!!

Re: Da wifi a LAN
In inglese per favore
I would look at getting in to a R series router that support Wireless Bridging. This wireless bridging will connect the router to most any wifi signal then you can connect the laptop LAN port via cable to the back of the R series router in wireless bridge mode.

Re: Da wifi a LAN
Thank you for your answer.
Is there any R series router model you would suggest for my purposes?
Sorry for the stupid question: how it works for the wi-fi password and configuration?
I would use this bridging to connect for example to this:

so I need to access to advanced configuration options.
Do the public wi-fi will be seen in my laptop as a standard LAN connection, for which probably the configuration options will be different?

Re: Da wifi a LAN
Most of NGs R series model routers support wireless bridge mode. I have a R7800 and R7960P and both support wireless bridge mode. I believe any R 7xxx and 8xxx series routers supports wireles bridge mode.
