Hello, My C7000 Router is dropping its signal constantly. Spectrum has been to my home two times and insists that the problem is with the router, itself. I am not very technically inclined, but the router is only a bit more than two years old and has already been replaced under warranty once (it failed). Here are the stats only for the device. Not much of a networking person, so don't know how to make heads or tails of them. thanks so much.
Re: Dropped signal
You have quite a few uncorrectables in your downloads. And your upload power is a bit low. Here's how I'd start.
1. remove any splitters, amplifiers, connectors from your line.
2. Check all your connectors for damage/corrosion. Replace them if there is.
3. inspect all your coax wires. Water in the line, kinks, wearing can all cause issues and drops.
4. Move the modem/router combo device to right where it enters the house and direct connect it. spectrum is responsible up to it entering the house. After that, its on the consumer. So if you move it right to where the line is entering the house and if you're still getting the same signal issues, its probably a spectrum issue.
With it connected as such, do you still get the drops/errors?
