Moved Nighthawk CM1150V to new location now Xfinity voice does not work
Yesterday I set up this modem and Xfinity got it up and going with Voice and Internet. I was able to use my phone just fine after activation yesterday. Today I moved the modem to a new location and now Xfinity Voice isn't working, "Line In Use". The cable and internet are working perfectly, just not Voice. The Tel 1 light isn't even lit. I rebooted the modem numerous time and Xfinity even sent a reboot signal numerous times to no avail. The Tel 1 light blinks for a while during the reboot process but ultimatly goes off instead of turning solid.
I had yet another chat with Xfinity and they did everything they could but couldn't not fix it. They scheduled a tech to come out in 3 days but I would rather avoid that if I can help it.
I'm not using anything new from the old location. I have one hard line coming into my basement. Coax splitter to one line for the living room to the cable box, and the other to the modem. I just used a barrel connector from the main line to the living room, then the same splitter, then lines to the cable and router. So same splitter being used and every other service works just fine. Only problem is with the Tel lines. I even tried it in Tel2 and no dice also.
I'm really perplexed by this and hope someone had a similar issue and figured it out.

Your or tech needs to check phone lines. IF modem worked at prior location and doesn't at new location, something at new location needs to be looked at.
