N300 Wifi Cable Modem Router - Compatible in Australia

We have a Netgear N300 WiFi Cable Modem Router in the US, does anybody know if we will we be able to use it in Australia?

It wont work in australia and it is not certified to work either. I suggest not to waste your $$ for getting it one for australia.

I thought AU government has NBN service and will provide modems for you to work with any AU ISPs (Telstra, Optus, etc).
