N300 not working & Netgear won't honor 1 warranty!!

N300 not working & Netgear won't honor 1 warranty!!
My Netgear N300 cable wifi modem won't stay connected. I've contacted Comcast and everything is good on their end. Firmware is up to date, and all the troubleshooting steps on the netgear support page were done. My product is resgistered and less than a year old, but Netgear support won't honor the 1 warranty because i'm out of the 90 days free tech support. How are you going to offer a 1 manufacture warranty, but only honor it if the consumer is within the free 90s tech support or pays to extend the support???
I've gone through all troubleshooting and nothing works. $100 modem that got great reviews just crapped out in under 12 months. No neglect on our end.
Please keep their terrible customer service in mind before purchasing their products. 1 year manufacture warranty has loop holes not mentioned in the warranty fine print on their website....
