N450 CG3000Dv2 Can't login to router settings
I have recently gone back to cable internet after about 4 years. Pulled out my N450 and hooked it up. Can't remember signin for router settings so have hit the reset button several times, the router restarts, but doesn't reset to admin/password for signon. Any other ways to reset or change settings? Have tried to access through Chrome at 192.168.0.1, I get the signon window but can't get in. I downloaded Genie and everything seems to work ok, but if I got to router settings tab it won't logon.

Pressing it for how long? Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in
your model number, and look for Documentation. Get the User Manual.
Look for "Factory Default Settings". If it fails to act as expected,
then yank all the data lines, and try again. If you hold the button
down long enough, then the LED indicators should go through some
abnormal sequence, and then the settings should get reset.

Does that mean that you pressed Reset long enough to cause a reset to
occur?
Some people claim that a more elaborate reset procedure might do
more, but I wouldn't bet much on it for any particular model. A Web
search for terms like:
Netgear 30-30-30 reset
should find details.

Pressed for about 12 seconds and the lights changed and the router restarted but doesn't seem to reset password to admin/password like factory setting. Have done this several times but still nothing.

That all sounds good, except fot the part where it doesn't seem to
reset the "admin" password to "password".

Because it's a DOCSIS cable-TV thing, there may be little you can do
to influence the firmware directly. You might ask your ISP if they can
do anything useful from their side.
