Netgear C7000v2 Firmware V.1.03.03 5G wifi problem
I have AC1900 C7000V2 Modem Router connected to Xfinity.
The firmware is V.1.03.03.
Just recently (less than a month), the 5Ghz-wifi connection is unstable while the 2.4GHz is working fine. Most of the time the 5Ghz connection is lost and force to back down to 2.4 GHz.
I try to factory reset and it still has the same problem.
Do you have any suggession?

Re: Netgear C7000v2 Firmware V.1.03.03 5G wifi problem
I am having the same problems on the same device. The xfinity technician told me to get a new modem/router, I got a new one and it is also experiencing these problems. I thought my old modem/router was broken, but it seems to be the firmware update that is causing it. It used to work just fine before.

Re: Netgear C7000v2 Firmware V.1.03.03 5G wifi problem
I have Xfininty ISP. C7000V2 Nighthawk AC1900 Wifi Cable Modem Router. This unit worked well for about a year, now I keep losing internet service on the 5G for all devices. 2.4G and Wired work fine. The only solution is to reboot the Nighthawk. This happens daily. Running FirmwareV.1.03.03 that is controlled by the ISP. Any suggestions.

Re: Netgear C7000v2 Firmware V.1.03.03 5G wifi problem
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and 40 to 48 channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?
Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed?

Re: Netgear C7000v2 Firmware V.1.03.03 5G wifi problem
I'll try the channel change - there are a few visible networks around (no telling how many aren't broadcasting their SSID of course)
Haven't done a full reset in a while - might try that too
thanks!
