Netgear c7000v2

My cable modem/router is connected to my smart tv and last night I just couldn’t watch TV anymore. I reset the modem by unplugging the power and Ethernet cables. It doesn’t connect to the internet but the netgear wifi name pops up. I don’t know what’s going on and this is the second time it happened. My internet service. Provider cannot find the router.

Have the ISP check the signal and line quality UP to the modem. 
Be sure there are not coax cable line splitters in the between the modem and ISP service box. 
Be sure your using good quality RG6 coax cable up to the modem.

Ok, the ISP came and it’s working. Last night I noticed that the light for my 5 G band no longer shows up only the 2.4. How do I fix that?

Does rebooting the modem help? 

Log into the modems web page and make sure the 5Ghz radio is enabled and working. Review the user manual.

I held down the WPS button for about 5 minutes and the 5G showed up. Thanks for replying to me!
