Nighthawk AC1900 router, do i need a modem if I only am using Xfinity for Wifi?
Moving into a new place. Just bought this router. Declined to rent modem from Xfinity in hopes to save some money in the long run. I am only using Xfinity for Wifi. Do I need a modem as well or will this Nighthawk AC1900 do the trick since Xfinity now have Fiber Optic capabilities?

Ask the ISP which sort of termination they provide? If it's coaxial
cable, then you'd need a cable modem; if it's Ethernet, then I'd expect
a direct connection to work.
Almost everyone has "Fiber Optic capabilities". The question is to
what _you_ will be connecting _your_ stuff, not what your ISP uses for
its cross-town trunks.
