Nighthawk C7000 & MagicJack
My wife just bought me this cable modem for my birthday, today I went to hook it up, and realized that it does not have the phone jack for a home phone. My wife works from home, so having the home phone for calling into meetings.
If I get a Magicjack, can I plug it into the USB port on the back and get it to work? I understand that I will probably have to play with settings on both the modem and Magicjack, I just want to know if it's possible.

Re: Nighthawk C7000 & MagicJack
If you are Xfinity subscriber, you could have got C7100V which comes with Phone features.
otherwise, Vonage or ooma are good options instead of MajicJack.
note: the USB port is for ReadyShare feature and not intended for MajicJack.

Time Warner Cable, or now known as Spectrum, so sounds like a new evil organization for James Bond or Marvel.
I don't think I can get a comparible model, I'll have to look into those other options.
Thanks

Re: Nighthawk C7000 & MagicJack
spectrum does NOT certify retail voice modems.
you will probably need to go to Vonage or ooma.
