Nighthawk X4S C7800 AC3200 disconnecting 5ghz
So I recently bought the Nighthawk C7800 about a week or so ago since I had recently switched ISPs and the rental modem/router was not doing good at all. At first everything was all good, but everyday, either once or twice a day, everything connected to the 5ghz network would just disconnect all connected devices and would not be seen when searching for wifi. However, the 2.5 ghz network would still be there and be able to connected to and wired connections still worked. Also the LED for the 5ghz network would be solid even though it could not be connected to. The disconnect would only last anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes before coming back on its own. I really would not like to return it but I am unsure on what to do.
Side note: I also made sure to choose a channel that nobody else was on and the issue still occured.

Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?
Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed?

6 wifi neighbors exculding myself, all on other wifi channels and yes a factory reset has been performed

I would contact NG support to see if you can get some additional help on this.
Not sure if the unit maybe faulty...

What problems are you having with the C7800 modem?
