Orbi CBR 40 device issue

I have a device showing up as Wistron Neweb Corporation and I can’t figure out what it is. It just showed up today. Anyone ever seen this issue before? Thx in advance for any help.

Re: Orbi CBR 40 device issue

have you looked up what its mac address and IP address is?

You can use the mac to see if you can identify it.

https://dnschecker.org/mac-lookup.php

and you can use the ip to see if you can tell what device on your network it is by comparing your current devices IP address to that one.

Re: Orbi CBR 40 device issue

Does it show as a wired or wireless device?

If wireless, what happens if you change the PW on the CBR to something different temporarily and not give it out to anyone. Does the device still appear?

Possible:

Re: Orbi CBR 40 device issue

that mac shows up for Wistrom Networking.

They make a lot of smart home products.

Do you have any smart home devices or IoT devices?
