Question about VLAN's
Hi,
i am looking at getting a Ready NAS and connecting it to my network using a gigabit switch, and i'm curious if it is possible to put my desktop (ethernet) and my laptop (wifi) on the same VLAN to allow just them to see the NAS and for it to be visable to the internet for ReadyCloud aswell.
Thanks in advance
(sorry if it's a bit vague)

Re: Question about VLAN's
I'm thinking that the wired will have no problems as long as they're on the same VLAN ID but thinking about the wireless...
Perhaps if you have an AP wired to the switch and set it on the same VLAN ID...

Re: Question about VLAN's
Thanks for your help
Is there any way to have one AP connect a device too one of two Vlans depending on the Mac addresses?
If not can you use one AP to transmit two SSID's assigned two different VLans?
Thanks in advance

Re: Question about VLAN's
Verify AP's features if it's capable of those. Some may and some may not.

Re: Question about VLAN's
Try to google access points with VLAN.
