SRX 5308 Replacement Fans
Looking fior replacement cooling fans for SRX5308 routers. I have a blind friend who is very tech savy and needs 3 replacement fans.
The correct fan is ADDA AD0405MB-G73. I've dealt with ADDA, via EBay, in China, and they keep sending me the wrong fans.
Mouser has a minimum of 20 with a 16 week waiting times.

And you chose a (consumer) "Cable Modems & Routers" forum to ask
about this?

My Ebay search for:
ADDA AD0405MB G73
found:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/x/282959861527
$18.80 (shipped from China) is a bit pricey, but "5 available" and "Make
Offer".
I might not recommend it to a blind friend, but, if the problem is
bearing noise, then some of these kinds of fans can be opened (peel off
the label, and save for your records), and a couple of drops of oil
added, followed by a piece of tape (to replace the label/seal, on a
clean(ed) surface), and they can run for years more (at approximately no
cost).
In some (lucky) cases, actual disassembly and cleaning can be done
before re-assembly and lubrication, but the small fans tend to have
shaft retainers which are tough to remove and replace (and very easy to
lose or destroy).

Many thanks. I ordered 3. (delivery mid to late June)
I have one SRX 5308 in which to test the new fans.
I'll let you know how they work
