What is your "my dsl modem"?

I doubt it. Netgear Cxxxx models typically lack an Ethernet
WAN/Internet port. Without that, how would you connect an external
modem?
You should be able to use a C7200v2, not as a router, but as a
wireless access point, which might be useful if your (unspecified) "my
dsl modem" were actually a DSL modem+router. For example:

That's written for a C6300, but the steps are about the same for any
other router (any make/model) which lacks a one-step WAP option,
including yours. But a wireless access point is not a router.
