Unable to set up MOCA decives with my CM600 modem and Nighthawk router

I just installed both of these to replace my old comcast modem/router combo. Before i bought this i was told that it was MoCa enabled and compatable with my device. I just wanted to know what I am doing wrong here. Internet provider is comcast and my MoCa device is the Actiontec Single Dual-Band Wireless Network Extender and Ethernet Over Coax Adapter.

The CM600 is a DOCSIS modem.  It doesn't support MoCA.  MoCA can coexist with DOCSIS on the same coax cable, but you will need a second MoCA adapter.  Here is one way to set up things:

[coax from street]+--+[PoE filter]+--+[splitter]+--+[CM600+--+[R7000]
                                         + + +
                                         | | |
                                         | | +
                        [ActionTec]+-----+ +------------+[MoCA Adapter]

Alternatively:

[coax from street]+--+[PoE filter]+--+[splitter]+--+[CM600+--+[R7000]
                                                                 +
                                                                 |
                                                                 +
                        [ActionTec]+----------------------+[MoCA Adapter]

did you buy right kind of splitter? for MoCA splitters need to support upto 2GHz (standard splitters have cutoff at 1 GHz).

Btw, Nice ASCII Art typing. Do you do it by hand or you have a tool to do it?

I just Googled for 'ascii art tool' and used the first hit: asciiflow.com. It has the basic tools for drawing.
