Using a cable modem as a wired AP
Hear me out... I have ATT fiber, with the Pace 5268AC Modem Router. The WiFi on it is not that good. I have a Netgear C6250 that I connected though the Ethernet port, disabled DHCP on it so that I can use it as an AP, and turned the wifi off on the ATT router. It works for a while but it loses the internet connection from time to time, then corrects itself later. My question is, are there some other settings that I could change on either router to fix this? Or am I wasting my time?

That complaint looks similar, but no one has yet explained exactly
what stops working -- basic connectivity, DNS, ...
