c6300 does not get DHCP configuration in router mode
I purchased a c6300 router and registered it with xfinity.
The problem is that in the router mode it never gets IP configuration from DHCP.
If to switch it to the bridge mode, the connected computer receives configuration properly, so DHCP on the provider side works.
I tried to reset it, restore factory settings, release/renew with no result.
Using it in bridge mode as a just cable modem does not make sense for me as I am willing to upgrade to the high-speed wifi.
Otherwise my previous setup of SB6121 + TP-Link N300 works fine

Re: c6300 does not get DHCP configuration in router mode
vk,
can you help me as well? I think my issue with DNS problems is also related to the above, as they have the DNS ::feed designation and it might have something to do with DHCP or ISP assigned IP which I can't change. I have a similar thread asking if anyone knows, sounds like you might. A friend told me to potentially bridge it to a different router, but is this necessary?
