c6300 media server detection
I have had a CG3100 d for a couple of years. When I turn my PS3 on, instantly any of my media servers (serviio, ps3 media server) show up . Purchsed a c6300 this week and the servers do not show up. (well it did randomly once) but 99% of the time, noting....
Any ideas to ensire the media server is there every time?
Connection moden to pc - ethernet
connection modem to ps3 - ethernet
cheers in advance,
Jeff

Hello jefflang007
Is there any required port forwarding that needs to be done for your media servers to be seen and accessed?

Re: c6300 media server detection
not that I am aware of.
A) it is an intenal server only
B) the old modem is Netgear and there were no issues there.

Re: c6300 media server detection
Also I did a bit of netsearch on this and could not find any specific details on this. If the old one works perfectly, why should the new one not?
