Spectrum in my area finally added the first DOCSIS 3.1 modem cm1000 v2 to there compatibility list. Searching cm1000 in online stores does not specifiy v1 or v2. What is the difference?

My understanding is that the v2 is the same chipset with some features removed to make it a little cheaper. It used to be posted on the broadcomm website but I couldn't find it anymore.
