Re: is the c7000 a combo of the cm500 and the r7000?

C7000 is not exactly same CM500+R7000

C7000 has 24 Downstream Channels whereas CM500 has only 16 DS channels. If you are going to upgrade to future higher speeds from your ISP (>300 Mbps), they may require you to have a minimium of 24 DS channels.

C7000 has USB 2.0 port whereas R7000 has USB3.0 port.

C7000 simplifies your home setup by combining your networking needs into 1 unified device.

It also depends on your future upgrade plans as well, If you plan on upgrading your Router more often and like more control on the Router, then CM500+R7000 is better fit.

C7000 will be an easier plug ''n Play experience since you dont have to take care of configuration of 2 devices and also reduces clutter if you are short of space but you have to upgrade the whole unit, if you need to move to newer technology in future.

nevertheless, whichever option you choose, we will support you.
