make a new smart remote to allow provider enter to your modem
i have c7000 and i try to give them access and they cant enter event if i put the remote manament
make a new remote that allow the provider enter if you whant
i dont trust provider because they can enter and change thing with out permision or reset your modem or put you modem in trobleshooting so you can have problems
that happen to me alot time ago when i have the modem of they they do that sometimes and evething was fine
that the reason i like netgear because the security remote is so stritc not event them can enter or modifie something
just put a new botton when you need help activate the remote and allow them to help you and be secure and encripted
make fimware detection so they can see what fimware version if running your modem and if they can update it
and prevent modem fimware corrups or have errors or uncompavility
just helping

Re: make a new smart remote to allow provider enter to your modem
If someone can't access your C7000 even when remote management is enabled, then a "smart" remote isn't going to help.
DOCSIS-compliant modems can already be upgraded by the ISP automatically.
