placing CAX80 in bridge mode
How do I place my CAX80 in bridge mode, so it behaves like a switch, not a router. I will use my enterprise router downstream.
I checked the Netgear user manual but no help there.
Thanks!

Re: placing CAX80 in bridge mode
You can put it modem only mode but then most ISP's only support 1 connected device to it.
Or you can leave it in router mode and simply put the enterprise routers ip address into its dmz.

This is exactly what I would like as well. Does not necessarily have to be CAX80. My ISP does allow multiple external ipv4 but I am struggling to find a modem that will provide... have found any approaches?

Re: placing CAX80 in bridge mode
Under the Advanced settings on my CAX80, there is an option for Router Mode (On Off). Once I select the Off option, my modem appears to be in bridge mode.

That is good to hear! In bridge mode... did you test getting multiple public ipv4 passed to the ports on the back of the modem? This would be gold if you did!

Re: placing CAX80 in bridge mode
You only get multiple WAN IP addresses IF the ISP supports that. Most don't.
