xfinity compatibility
this modem and a lot of others are not on the "official" comcast xfinity compability list
but I assume netgear doesn't make false claims about this
when requesting the comcast list you supply a zip code and download speed
could it be that only certain modems would be compatible within any given zip code?

NETGEAR DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem (CM400-1AZNAS)
the comcast checker is here, https://mydeviceinfo.xfinity.com/
I put zip code 95608 and download speed of 25mps

Re: xfinity compatibility
I checked with your zip code. It shows as supported for 25 Mbps service.
Please see this page.

Re: xfinity compatibility
interesting same search criteria coming up with different results
I just ran search again and no cm400 came back
and the first search I did came back with 9 choices,
this most recent search only returned 4
I am going ahead and getting the cm400 looks like I won't
be able to hook it up until 7/17 after ordering the service today am
comcast the tech giant sends the self install kit snail mail ups
ok so the cables need a physical medium for sending some cat6
probably a bad length, the cat6 cable and
the only way to get some kind of activation key or whatever it is
is by ups snail mail !!!!
anybody else see the irony in this?

Re: xfinity compatibility
you need to press "+ show more" button to expand the list. you need to press it few times until you see CM400.
comcast shows higher spec'ed and expensive products top on the list.
you need to make sure your account is ready and there is signal at your home before activating CM400. If there is no signal at your home, it wont work.
