AirCard 70S/762S/763S

I've had an AirCard 763S mobile hotspot for a while and for the most part, have been happy with the performance, although I haven't been able to confidently use it as a mobile hotspot because of some security issues.

1) What are the current plans to update to introduce some sort of secure administration interface? When I bought it, I was surprised to find out that only cleartext (HTTP) was available, and I was unable to return. However, the carrier suggested that SSL/TLS was in the works so I've only been using it tethered while waiting for the update. Even the ability to manage via a software utility and disable the web interface would be good. I've tried to reach out to other carriers (North America) and none of them have been able to help, either.

2)) Any plans to address the vulnerability published earlier this yea(https://web.nvd.nist.gov/view/vuln/detail?vulnId=CVE-2015-2054)? In the absence of a proven exploit, and the fact the threat would more likely come via a targeted attack, vs random discovery, it might be less of an issue than the one above, but would still be good to address.

Thank you for posting this.

I have the AT&T Unite (AC770S) and I really don't like the lack of security on this device.
