Band locking M6 MR6500

Greetings Netgear Community - Looking for assistance or another set of eyes on how to select/change added bands on the new M6 MR6500.

• M1 series - Web interface
• M5 series - Mobile app interface
• M6 series - Neither option is available (the mobile app omits the 'Bands' option under the Settings | Network | section
  • [Why is that menu option now missing/hidden from this model? Can it be added back with a client update, or ... ?]

Adding custom band options through the CLI is/was straightforward in the same way as the M5 series - including retaining after reboots. However there is no UI to actually select the specific bands after they have been added to the band table. Note: setting the specific band(s) from the telnet session is an option, although very inconvenient when previous models offered a UI for on the fly changes.

Has anyone else experimented with, or encountered this with the M6 units?

Hi @Hotrod_Hemi ,

Band locking will not be available on the M6 and is not recommended.  Band locking can impact other users in your area and is also not recommended by ISP's.
