Answering my own question incase anyone else comes across this.
On firmware NTGX65_12.01.05.00, you can show/hide the Display Info on the LCD by going to:
Settings > WiFi Band > more** > Global Settings > Display Info on LCD
**more is in tiny type at the bottom of the panel after the buttons to choose which band you want the WiFi on.

Re: Can I hide my password on a Nighthawk M6
Login to the device bia Web Browser, goto Setup->Wireless, unclick "Display Info on LCD" and the password, also SSID, will be shown as "*" unless you touched it from LCD panel.

There is no Wireless option!
I've looked through all the settings and can't see "Display Info on LCD" anywhere.
I've updated to the latest firmware (see attached).
Any other ideas?
