Connecting the MR1100 Nighthawk to another router for improved signal
Hello! I would like to do two things to boost the power of my MR1100 Nighthawk Mobile Hotspot:
1) I would like to connect an external antenna through the dual TS-9 ports to improve cellular data signal. I know this is possible, does anyone have recommendations as to the make/model of a good, compatible antenna?
2) I would also like to connect the MR1100 to a more powerful router and push the signal out that way to improve the range of the hotspot. Is this possible?
Look forward to hearing answers! Thank you.

Re: Connecting the MR1100 Nighthawk to another router for improved signal
I, so.
1) you need to know witch band is use by you sim carrier and select a antenna compitble to.
2) you need to plug ethernet port of MR1100 to the WAN ethernet port of your powerfull router.
The DHCP ip have to be configure to not disturb the DHCP to your powerfull router. You could put your MR1100 in bridge mode or desacte DHCP mode. Also configure the mask to be in the same network and chose the IP MR1100 in the IP range of your WAN ip table of your powerfull router.
it could be more easy to configure a DMZ in MR1100 router to the WAN ip powerfull router an use the firewall of powerfull router to secured your network. Take care, dmz is dangerous when it is not use correctly.
