We purchased the MR6500 Nighthawk in August 2023. 1 Year warranty is expired and device is dead. Will not charge or turn on. Have tried multiple USB cords and charging ports. THe product just seemed to die overnight (we had it plugged in to charge, it was dead in the morning) "He's dead, Jim", for you trekies.
I'd like to see if this $1K device is repairable, but the only option to contact Netgear support is to purchase a $99 support? When I don't even know if it can be repaired?
I'd appreciate any advice! Thank you!

have you tried connecting it without the battery?
Also, make sure your charging and cable are of high enough quality if you're trying others. The newer devices pull more power and you need decent ones of both.

Re: Dead Netgear Nighthawk MR6550 (AXE3600)
Thanks for your input. The device won't run either when plugged in with the included USB and AC-USB connector or on battery (which is dead).
What I really want to find out is whether I can send it to Netgear and pary to have it repaired. It is a $1K paperweight right now. It is out of warranty but if I can pay a couple hundred bucks to be repaired it is better than tossing it.

Re: Dead Netgear Nighthawk MR6550 (AXE3600)
Try a non-stock charger and cable. I've seen the stock ones not supply enough power or have a bad cable.
Again, ensure its a high quality cable and meets the minimum charger qualifications. I've got a 65w and 140w that I used for quick charging my laptop that I use with my MR6150 when its left on 24/7

Re: Dead Netgear Nighthawk MR6550 (AXE3600)
Thank you. We had tried multiple chargers. Nothing works. What I really want to do is pay to have Netgear repair the very $$$ device that lasted just over one year. I cannot figure out how to do this.

Re: Dead Netgear Nighthawk MR6550 (AXE3600)
Thanks again @plemans ! I just figured out how to take the battery out. Didn't know I could do that and just read that Netgear suggests operating without the battery (when using for long periods of time) to prevent overheating! Device turned on and connected! Thank you!! I'll see if I can order a new battery!
