LB2120 and Ubiquiti EdgeMax - LAN resetting
I have an LB2120 running the latest firmware connected to a Ubiquiti EdgeMax router running also the latest (1.9.7). When I place the LB2120 in bridge mode, the EdgeMax gets an IP and sets the default route then the LB2120's power LED briefly turns amber, then the LAN connection goes down. After a few seconds the LAN comes back up only to restart the cycle a few seconds later.
If I place the LB2120 in router mode and connect the EdgeMax, the LB2120 stays connected for a longer time, but after about 30 seconds the LAN connection goes down and the power LED shows a solid amber with the first two bar LEDs lit still showing the last signal. When I reconnect the LB2120 to a computer or access point, the LAN connection stays down and the power LED stays amber until I reset the LB2120.
When running EdgeMax firmware 1.7.1, I did not see this behavior, but I was forced to upgrade due to the /32 and default route issue.

Re: LB2120 and Ubiquiti EdgeMax - LAN resetting
Hi mgandalf,
You have mentioned that issue did not occur when you have downgraded to previous firmware of your EdgeMax and it only happens with the latest firmware. Have you checked with Ubiquiti if there is a known issue with the latest firmware?

Re: LB2120 and Ubiquiti EdgeMax - LAN resetting
I'm having the exact same problem with a USG. Lan comes up, the connection is stable in bridge mode but as soon as the Netgear get's under a load (about 30 seconds) the power light on the 1120 blinks amber and the LAN connection resets. Newest firmware on the 1120 and current on the USG.
Mark, do you have a link to a Ubiquiti thread or a case number I can reference if I call them?

Re: LB2120 and Ubiquiti EdgeMax - LAN resetting
My thread is more related to the issue of a default outside of the /32 the modem gives me for an IP, which started me down the road of upgrading the Ubiquiti and Netgear firmware.
I have done a bit more investigation, however. I tried hard-setting the link speed all the way from 10/half to 100/full with no difference. I also placed a 1gig switch inbetween the modem and the router - no change. This doesn't seem to be a problem on the Ubuquiti end in my opinion. The modem's LAN interface shouldn't be disconnecting/resetting like it does.

Re: LB2120 and Ubiquiti EdgeMax - LAN resetting
Based on that I would agree, this seems to be a Netgear bug. I may return mine and get a new one just to see if it's a hardware problem.

Re: LB2120 and Ubiquiti EdgeMax - LAN resetting
I'm able to use it without issue directly connected to my laptop in both router and bridge mode. I also am able to use it in router mode directly connected to a Unifi access point. When connecting the EdgeMax router, however, the LAN interface on the LB2120 drops quickly.
