M6 Pro MR6550 factory power adapter without battery error
Firm
Firmware NTGX65_12.01.54.00 - the supplied power adapter does not work with the M6 Pro in Plugged-in Power Mode. Upon boot it displays the above message. This used to work until a firmware update broke it. And Netgear wants me to pay them another $100 to get any help for my $1100 hotspot that their firmware update broke. Hoping Netgear will respond to this. Not holding my breath. I was considering the latest Orbi wifi 7 but how can I buy anything else from Netgear when they won't provide even basic support?

If cable is not either original or up to standards, it will not run correctly

Re: M6 Pro MR6550 factory power adapter without battery error
I am using the power adapter and cable that came with the router. I believe the supplied power adapter has never supplied enough power, because when i use the router on high performance mode plugged in with the battery in, it slowly depletes the battery and shuts off eventually. It has done that since day 1. And when i try and run it without the battery using the supplied cable and adapter it displays the error message because it doesnt have enough power to operate and can’t pull more from the battery. If i use my anker adapter it works fine both ways. So i think Netgear supplied a weak power adapter that doesn’t supply enough for the device to run and later they updated the firmware to complain about it, without sending us a new adapter because they can just hide behind their paid support-only policy and force the customer to pay for it.

Re: M6 Pro MR6550 factory power adapter without battery error
AS long as a charger supplies enough... You could use another adapter... I've used a usbc laptop charger at one point and worked well. I know not a compete solution but is a work around... You can fine the oem adapter packages on ebay...
