MR5200-100EUS: DHCP search domain is "net"
Hi,
The MR5200-100EUS (Firmware: NTGX55_12.04.17.00) is setting "net" as a search domain for DHCP clients.
This breaks a lot of devices that rely on secure DNS (only encrypted DNS), because it instructs the client to send unencrypted DNS for every ".net" domain to the router DNS server. Now if a client is configured to use secure DNS (DoH, DoT) it will fail to resolve all ".net" domains. Even worse, Android has opportunistic mode by default, when configured secure DNS and just sends those requests unsecured to the router.
Can this please address this to not set a toplevel domain as search domain from DHCP on MR5200?
Regards,
Jens
