Mobile Service Not connecting

Very disappointed that Netgear has problems connecting to both AT&T and T-Mobile networks with known working SIM cards. Using same settings as another brand of router (that does connect). How can this...

I have a MR6110 with zero problems connecting to att. 

Some mobile providers are limiting sim swapping. Have you checked with att? You might need a hotspot sim setup to use it. 

(tmobile is notorious for this)

Is it a locked hotspot?
