Updated. Noticed that
- New firmware supports USB tethering on macOS. It appears as 'Aircard 810s' interface.
- Upload speed is on par with modern phones, previously it was significantly slower.
- Download speed in B7+B7 mode also seems improved, the result depends on location.Great improvements!
Thank you!

Hi,
fixed that sucker.
Linux has a weird selection strategy if an USB device has more configurations.
AC 810S has 3 different configurations after the new firmware update and this confuses all Linux based devices.
Steps for Linux:
Connect your Aircard.
Then look at the dmesg output.
> dmesg
usb 4-1: new SuperSpeed USB device number 2 using xhci_hcd
Then look at the possible configs in:
/sys/bus/usb/devices/4-1
Here we see that the bConfigurationValue is 1. 3 is for the CDC Ether device.
Hence, issue the following command:
echo 3 >/sys/bus/usb/devices/4-1/bConfigurationValue
And voila, we have the CDC interface.
dmesg output:
cdc_ether 4-1:3.0 eth3: register 'cdc_ether' at usb-0000:00:0c.0-1, CDC Ethernet Device, 00:a0:c6:00:00:00
Then proceed with standard procedures for CDC Ethernet devices.
Kind regards,
