NightHawk WIFI FAILED AFTER AUTOMATIC SOFTWARE DOWNLOAD

NightHawk MR1100.
Yesterday I was able to connect to the network NTGR_95E3 wifi SSID. Today I cannot. That SSID doesnt show at all on multiple devices.
I attribute it to the automatic software download that occurred when I turned on the modem. The notification said that I should be able to use the router during the download process but already the SSID was not broadcasting.
How do I recover from this?

Netgear tech support via their chat, walked me through a proper reset. The Nighthawk must be reset with power on 30 secs, power off 30 secs, then power on again 30 secs. Just remove the battery, plug it in, power it up, and hold the reset button throughout that on-off-on process.
