Nighthawk M1

Hi, I have a nighthawk M1 and I wanted to boost my signal, so I bought a lte wifi antenna and I bought bingfu external pigtail TS9 to use in the external antenna ports on my M1, when I plug them in, I notice I loose connectivity and the bars for my signal go down to 1 bar on the M1, am I missing something or is this normal, did not think I would lose connection when plugging in the pigtail to the M1. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

The antenna ports on the device for connect extranl LTE antenna. There is no connection for external WiFi antenna.
