Nighthawk MR1100 Opening NAT types for Xbox One

I just need someone to breakdown what I need to do to get an open NAT type. I'm playing on an Xbox One. My Nighthawk MR1100 feeds directly into my Xbox. Firmware is updated too. Also if you're going to ask me to do port forwarding please give a very detailed explanation of what I should do. Thank you very much, and have a good day.

I, first, sorry for my english but it is not my native language. 😉

So, to work well, some internet specifique services need to be configure in the port forwarding.

It like a hotel, you want to acces to the door 1994, so you need a key to open the door cause it is close.The key for your rooter is a rule than you configure to say, the door 1994 is open to travel to the XBOX. So in portforwarding, create a rule that said port 1994 is open to the IP adresse of XBOX. Also, there are some differente king of port key like a client or room service. In fact, the two must importante type of port is TCP port and UDP port. TCP port is use when some protocol of communication need to get a secured handshake (the secure the connection to make it eassy to understand) n true, it is use by some protocol to prevent some loose of packet. The UTC port is use usualy in streaming protocol cause that don't check if packet has arrive to the destination machine.

Some you need to configure a rule use for a specifique services with specifique type of port kind and to a specifique IP destination.

To know witch port open (rules) make a search on google for portforwarding to XBOX service.

I my memories, there are approximalty 4 differents port to open use both TCP UDP protocol.

You can also create a DMZ rule to the XBOX IP BUTTTTTTT, that is dangerous cause the DMZ will "OPEN" all the port to your XBOX that could be use by hacker to acces to your xbox more easily. In fact, that place virtualy your XBOX before your firewall and could be acces by the public.
