Nighthawk MR1100 with Cricket Wireless (AT&T reseller) plan showing “Mobile Broadband Disconnected”

I have been using my MR1100 in conjunction with Cricket Wireless’ “Simply Data” plan for many months without issue. Since last night it hasn’t been working and it’s showing a message saying “Mobile Broadband Disconnected.” I’ve tried turning it on and off, removing the sim and battery, and turning on international data roaming but nothing seems to work. The firmware is showing as being up to date. Cricket Wireless is a legit AT&T reseller and AT&T is definitely supported on the MR1100. I checked my Cricket account and it’s in good standing - I’ve made all my payments and nothing is showing as wrong on their end. What could be causing this?

Oh - one more thing. The router is showing that it is receiving signal. I’m just not able to use it I guess?

You have posted your message in the section of this community given over to Nighthawk WiFi Routers. (This is easily done, given Netgear's complicated community structure.)

While the MR1100 is specialist kit, many questions do apply to different types of device, so you might get responses here, but you might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your hardware, in the appropriate section for your device.

That's probably here:

Mobile Routers, Hotspots & Modems

No need to repost there, unless you want to – that will just clutter up the place with duplicated messages – but you might find advice related to your hardware.

I will ask the Netgear moderator to move your message.
