My post refers to the internal LTE modem of the router, that is, no external device is connected.
Does it work on any firmware?
did you try contacting the LTE provider to see if the sim card needed to be authorized again?
- It works with firmware version 1.0.0.72, please see pictures above. Sim card does not need reauthorization.
Might be your ISP doesn't allow a hot swap of sim cards and the firmware change causes it to look like a different device.
That's why I mentioned having them re-authorize. I can see 1 version of firmware having a bug but if all the newer ones do, it makes me wonder if the ISP is picking it up as a different device.
Okay, thank you for elaborating. The thing is, I am able to use the SIM in another device (surf-stick) and it connects without a problem. So I assume that the carrier does not mind if the device changes. Anyway, I will continue to use the R7100 a while longer with an older firmware.
