Re: Can't connect to circle while creating account after R7000 factory reset

I updated router firmware to "1.0.11.123 Hot Fix for R7000", did factory reset, then restored the router's saved configuration.
Now, the Android "Circle 1st Generation" app displays "Unable to find Circle" error message. (It worked before the firmware update.)
I tap "Pair new Circle", enter my name/ email/ phone, tap "Create Account" and then... "Can't connect to circle" error message displays.
I've searched through the pages in here for a solution, and I see a quite a few other people having the same problem on R7000 (e.g. here, here, here, here, here, and here), solution was often provided via a private message by @DexterJB but nowhere a solution was openly posted. In one instance (here) the user was located in a country not supported by Circle; but I'm in the U.S. and my Circle app worked prior to router firmware update. I've run out of things to try.
Help please.
Thank you!

Re: Can't connect to circle while creating account after R7000 factory reset
Can you try installing Circle app on a different device and set up from there?
