Nighthawk AC2300-Circle app not working on a new phone

Issue : I got a new phone this week and installed the circle app. App is requesting for a 4 digit passcode. When inputting text message 4 digit code that came, it throws back an error message -- "Could not connect: please check your passcode and try again".

I have installed the app, rebooted the router numerous times, with out any luck.

A bit disappointed that product  does not work smoothly. Any help on this is appreciated.
