Cannot access ReadyNAS admin page

Recently my ReadyNAS 102 admion page became unavailable. RAIDar sees teh ReadyNAS unit and I cn access data via windows explorer but I cannot access teh admin page.

I am running os ver 6.9.0

Log files can be sent if required

If https://nas-ip-address/fwbroker responds, then perhaps try manually installing 6.9.1 via that interface.

I can get access to my ReadyNAS via ssh and Putty. Can I update with new firmware via ssh?

If your comfortable with SSH you should first check some things e.g.

How full the 4GB root volume is

# df -h
# df -i

The 100 series uses EXT4 for the root volume so you need to check both the space usage and the inode usage

Then you'd want to check the journal for error messages for readynasd and apache2

# journalctl -a --no-pager --lines 200 CATEGORY=readynasd.log
# journalctl -a --no-pager --lines 200 _SYSTEMD_UNIT=apache2.service

If you can understand why you can't access the admin page you'll then have a better idea as to whether updating the firmware is the solution or not.

For the Journal commands I got no response.

Although I am using Putty I don't have much experience.

Not sure from that why you can't access the admin page.

You could try updating to 6.9.1 if you like e.g.

# cd /root
# wget http://www.readynas.com/contributed/mdgm/firmware/r6/arm/ReadyNASOS-6.9.1-arm.img
# echo /root/ReadyNASOS-6.9.1-arm.img > /etc/.flash_update
# rn_shutdown -r

This will install the firmware update

Thank you for the commands to update to 6.9.1

This went smoothly and RAIDar reports that 6.9.1 is installed and healthy.

I tried to access the Admin page through RAIDar and initially it seemed that it may work. I was met with a not secure page warning and went to add an exception through the Advanced button (which has not been available previously) but then I was returned to...

"Secure Connection Failed

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.
The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
 Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem."

Any further ideas?

I have just tried to access teh admin page via Edge with teh following result...

It then goes on to a new page and reports...

Embarrasing confession.

It seems that Bitdefender is blocking access to the ReadyNAS. This is a new development and I'm not sure how to actually fix this. The exclusions in Bitdefender don't seem to do the trick. I'll continue to search the Bitdefender site for a solution.
