Docker CLI App for 6.7.0 (Work In Progress)

It looks like there are some handy changes in 6.7.0, so I tried to get a Docker CLI app to get the containers moved over into the apps directory (not root volume).

https://community.netgear.com/t5/Community-Add-ons/ReadyNAS-Apps-6-7-0-Update/m-p/1235247

The app needs the kernel plus app to work properly. I suspect this should work fine on the 6.7.0 Beta 2 or something. I am running the T172 intern build and it is not able to install kernel plus.

Here is the Docker CLI package that I have so far

I am looking into some UI options for Docker to make it easer for the people that are afraid of a little CLI. There appears to be a lot of options. I am looking at Portainer or Rancher, but wanted to hear if anyone heard of any other good Docker UI options that are available out there.

You can try downgrading to the Beta 2 to get the support for the Kernel Plus app. The fix for the 6.6.1 that was in the intermediate build will be kept when downgrading to the Beta 2 build. We try to make sure the the dependent package for Kernel Plus is available for the public betas.

Re: Docker CLI App for 6.7.0 (Work In Progress)

It looks like Docker is changing their packaging over to a different repo and versioning. I have updated the latest package to work with the newer version.

I downgraded to beta 2 and I am able to run the latest docker.

I am still looking into implementing the UI bit.

I looked at Potainer. It looks like they are partnering with Rancher, so time to look at Rancher!

Re: Docker CLI App for 6.7.0 (Work In Progress)

I looked into the Rancher option, and it looks like that might be better suited with a server with more resources. Portainer is a little more lightweight and provides a lot of useful features/interfaces to docker.

I have set it up to require the Docker-CLI package to be installed since that handles all of the volume management for the docker containers. Portainer is running as a container within Docker, so they are tightly related.

Here is the Portainer release that works with the 6.7.0 betas:

Thx for the hard work! Keep it up mate.

Will try this out once I finished backing up my data. I screwed my Admin page up when I installed rutorrent on my 102 and I heard it may works fine under Docker. Will let you know if it works or not.
