I am often asked, "What is the mission of the commercial products group at NETGEAR?"
The team here at NETGEAR is committed to providing high quality, easy-to-use networking and storage solutions for individuals and organizations looking for basic to advanced functionality without the cost and complexity of our competitors.
I believe we are unique because of how focused we are on two critical elements of product delivery:
- User experience - What this means is, from learning about our products, to selecting, purchasing, installing, configuring and managing these solutions, we are striving for your experience to be quick, flexible and efficient. We take personal pride in getting the products right the first time, but jumping on and fixing mistakes when they happen. We are a big worldwide company, but to an individual in the business unit, we think and act like a small company. We are continuously looking for ways to provide a better user experience.
- Advanced technology - People who don't know us well are always surprised to learn the depth of our capabilities and how many areas where we are technology leaders. In 2003, NETGEAR was the first company to bring web-managed (Smart) switches to the market and we still have the largest share of the that market worldwide but we also lead with the breadth of our offering. Most folks would be shocked to know that NETGEAR ships more than 80% of the web-managed 10Gbps switches in the world. Why?
