5g connection on my c3700 does not work until manual restart

I have this problem for quite sometime, comcast confirmed its the issue on modem+router.

The 5g connection keeps dropping and unless i take a manual restart it would not work.

LAN and 2.4g works fine.

My firmware is the latest and Comcast/xfinity confirmed its the latest firmware.

 

Please advice steps to fix this.

Have you tried to change the 5ghz channel in the wireless settings?

I am having the same problem with my modem, how do you change the channel on it? Both the 2.4 and the 5g have blinking lights on the front of the modem.

Anyone have a fix for this issue? It started for me about a month ago.
