AC750 router, do i need a seperate modem?

AC750 router, do i need a seperate modem?
I have just bought a new AC750 dual band router, but when i try to connect a website poppes up and it says 403 forbidden, is that because i dont have the router connected to a Modem?

it is not the D6000, but i was not able to use the AC750/ R6020 when i created the post

That's because you posted in the DSL modem area
AC750 is not a model number. It is a wifi speed label.
What is the model number of your AC750?

What, exactly, did you do? What, exactly, happened when you did it?
As usual, showing actual actions with their actual results (error
messages, LED indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague
descriptions or interpretations.

Perhaps, but the non-psychics in your audience know very little about
what you're doing, what your ISP is, what's connected to what, and so
on. This ignorance makes specific advice hard to supply.
General advice: Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your
(actual) model number, and look for Documentation. Get the User Manual.
Read.
